The 11th Annual Water Festival is upon us, come Sunday the land by Hythe Bridge between Bridge Road and the Great Ouse (flood) Relief Channel will be the site of this great family community event.
The Blue Bayou will be at the entrance welcoming you.... ....along with the Mayor Cllr Frank Daymond |
From 10:00 AM the the site on land will be open to the public, with fair ground rides, stalls for charities, crafts, trade and activities and, of course, a selection of food stalls. Stall holders include:

From around 11:00 AM the Great Ouse (flood) Relief Channel will be hosting the annual dragon boat challenge. Last years winners, Angels & Demons have been unable to enter a team so the field is wide open, will it be a newcomer that clinches the trophy? Teams taking part in the event represents groups such as:

- Dereham Round Table
- John Chambers Windows Ltd
- Downham Market Town Council and Community
- East of England Ambulance Service
- The Chequers, Wimbotsham
- British Sugar
- Nando's, Bury St Edmunds

The Arena will see events from community groups commencing at 11:45AM and will include Zumba, Legacy Dance and The Marquettes. So in between the race schedule, come and watch our local community groups.
So, come along, support and enjoy the day at this great community event with fun for all the family.
